ODETTE Standard
What ODETTE is
ODETTE is the European automotive organization focused on data exchange, process alignment and supply chain collaboration. In many ways, it plays a role similar to AIAG in North America. ODETTE has influenced not only message standards, but also communication methods and operational recommendations across the automotive value chain.
The organization is closely associated with OFTP and OFTP2, as well as with several automotive-specific business documents used in logistics, ordering and invoicing scenarios.

Implementation perspective
ODETTE shows how tightly document standards, communication protocols and logistics processes are connected in the automotive sector. In practice, successful implementation usually depends on managing the business process and the transport expectations together rather than treating them as separate workstreams.
